Google revises webmaster guidelines

The search engine giant Google are forever trying to improve their service for both users who want to find the best quality search results in the shortest possible time and the owners of websites who are looking to get their website as high up the search engine result as possible.

But in order to keep the search engine results as good as they can, Google created guidelines for webmasters, this both keeps the search results nice and even, but at the same time offers webmasters tips on how to get the best out of Google. But sometimes they have to insist on certain things too.

In a change to the current webmaster guidelines Google and this time it is to de with Malicious Behaviour and it reads a bit like this:

Before: Don’t create pages that install viruses, Trojans, or other bad ware.

After: Don’t create pages with malicious behaviour, such as phishing or installing viruses, Trojans, or other bad ware.
