Users prefer interactive sites
In research made by S. Shyam Sundar, professor of film, video and media studies at Penn State, and Jamie Guillory, formerly an undergraduate student at Penn State has found that people looking at corporate website’s, tend to prefer an interactive site, rather than one that is static.
This is particularly true when it come’s job sites, users tend to feel that the more bells and whistles on the site the more chance there is that they will use this site over the next one. This works in several other industries.
However there could be a level of interactivity which goes just that little bit too far, at this point it becomes a turn off and the users will leave. This is the dilemma of just how much interactivity is too much?
So the general key is to use interactive features should be kept to a low to medium level, how this fits into your site is up to you.
