Did hackers get into Commerce Secretary’s laptop?

There are rumours around that while on a recent visit to China, by the US Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrz, a US Government laptop was hacked into by persons unknown, while the computer was left unattended.

The US Department of Homeland Security say that they are not investigating the allegations and it actual fact the FBI say that they cannot deny or even confirm about any of the cases that they investigate.

Although contrary to these answers, the US Department of Commerce initially said that they were investigating the incident, but eventually retracted the statement and said that the first comments were taken out of context.
