Media Defender being killed off

Like anyone who sticks their neck out, you are often likely to get it in the neck from the people that you are trying stop. This could be said to be true about ArtistDirect and their company MediaDefender.

Apparently their sales have been hit so much that they could be in serious trouble. But is it the industry that needs to be blamed or the company themselves? Many people would say that it is the company’s own fault for the tactics that they have employed.

MediaDefender claim that the music industry is cutting back on the expenditure on this type of protection, simply because their revenues are falling because of all the piracy that is going on.

Clearly the argument is flawed here and the whole point is that businesses like MediaDefender have had a good run, but eventually all good things come to an end.
