Firefox 3 downloads pass a million
Well it happened over night and yes who would have ever doubted that the world record for downloading a piece of software would have been broken, after all they only needed to get two downloads to create the record as there is not currently one recorded!
But to be fair to Mozilla their Firefox 3 has been steadily downloading at a rate of between 5,000 to 14,000 downloads per minute, which is a huge amount of data the phone lines must have screaming!
At the moment the counter on the Firefox 3 download day page is standing at just over five million, although it is bound to be slightly behind the actual figure. Although in the UK the amount of downloads has reached only 158,000!
