No freedom of speech online

Of course freedom of speech has never really been a right of anyone, no matter where they come from, but ever since the internet became a major part of our lives there has been a feeling that because this is the internet that normal rules do not apply.

Because the internet has been run like a parallel world to our real lives, there are some people who feel that there is some sort of unwritten rule book that means they are able to do as they please on the internet and nothing will be done about it.

But this is definitely not true as many bloggers and writers who have published work online have found to their cost. Now we find that the ISP’s, government and even individual websites are editing or even removing content that they feel is inappropriate.
