Two days upcoming on Digg

For the many users of Digg there has been a few unannounced changed which are causing some questions to be asked as to the motives of the Upcoming section. This section is normally where a new news story would be placed for twenty four hours before moving on to wherever they go next.

But recently Digg users have noticed that Upcoming news stories have been staying within the section for up to forty eight hours, this has prompted questions from users about this and have Digg changed their policy for new news stories?

The great debate is whether this is new Digg policy or a Digg bug, with Digg remaining silent on the matter the theories will be coming in thick and fast. However maybe there were not many stories on the particular days and so the posting remained on site for a little bit extra exposure.
