Google to buy Digg

This is another one of those on and off deals, but in reality, it looks as if it was always on this is because it would seem that both Digg and Google are close to putting pen to paper now. This deal could see Digg go to Google for as much as $200 million.

Digg has been a very popular user generated news site, where stories are submitted and the readers Digg the story of they like it, the more Diggs a story gets the higher up the scheme of things it raises.

Digg will probably end up as art of the Google News section where is could work just as well as it has been for all this time. However, until the deal has been signed and sealed anything can happen at the last minute.

Until we actually see Digg on Google’s pages, then we must just take this news as speculation and not fact, yet!
