US will be a victim of cyber attacks

It is being thought that the next major terrorist attack, will not be seen live on TV with bombs and aircraft, but a rather more subtle form of attack will be carried with the help of the internet.

Over the past week or so, we have all seen the Russian army in Georgia, but these military operations were actually preceded by a massive coordinated cyber assault on Georgian government, banking and transportation websites.

This has raised fears in the US that maybe they are not fully prepared for such an attack and should this happen the country and any other country could find themselves in disarray before anything has actually happened.

The most vulnerable systems are those that belong to the power, transportation and supply networks, these could cripple an entire country within minutes, after all imagine a city without power for a week or so!
