Web faster with FireFox
Well it is not going to be that easy; the fact is FireFox will not allow applications to run faster especially the likes of Gmail etc. However, for users who are feeling that they simply cannot wait the few seconds extra for certain pages to load, then there is solution just for you.
TraceMonkey is said to speed up a lot programs that written in JavaScript, which is used a lot in the design of webpages. JavaScript allows these webpages to be more flexible and fancy, but despite adding these effects, the performance is nothing to write home about.
“TraceMonkey is a project to bring native code speed to JavaScript,” said Mike Shaver, Mozilla’s interim vice president of engineering, adding that JavaScript performance nearly doubles compared to Firefox 3.0, based on the SunSpider test of JavaScript performance. That speeds up many basic tasks, but it also brings image editing and 3D graphics into JavaScript’s abilities, he said.
