Boys Google logo a big hit

When Google announced that they would be holding a competition for youngsters aged between four and sixteen to design one those logos, which Google occasionally use to show different celebrations or events.

The theme for this Google logo was “My Community” and the winner was a schoolboy from Surrey called Daniel Thorne who is aged fifteen. His impression of the theme was picked out of a total of seventy thousand entries from three thousand schools.

Now Daniel can be proud of the fact that his drawing was seen by over twelve million people in one day while it was on the Google homepage and his reward is a week long trip to California with his family and to Google’s UK HQ when the Queen visited.
