Twenty five years ago Windows appeared

It’s amazing to think that twenty five years ago a fresh face Bill Gates was introducing the world to Microsoft and the first Windows operating system, the year was 1983 and it would take a further two years before the operating system known as Windows 1 would be inside computers and on the shelves of computer stores.

However, as with all businesses not everything went according to plan. It was Bill Gates who introduced the operating system to the waiting world in New York. Where he claimed that within a year Windows would be operating ninety per cent of all IBM systems.

Being only a year late, is nothing, we have all come to live with delayed launches and even some really bad operating systems to cope with, we think that Vista is bad, but for those who used ME nothing can compare to that.
