Duplication can affect PR

There has been much discussion regarding the subject of Page Rank and Page Duplication, but this is just one of the many things that a Webmaster can look into in order to increase traffic and PR standings.

Other things are long URL’s not only do these look awful, they can sometimes put people off from clicking on them as there is so much phishing going on and there is the possibility that Google have been experimenting the effects of long URL’s.

One way to keep all of your current pages up front is to use a site map, but this needs to list the new URL’s, but the duplicated pages or old pages if still on line may be found by Google and then this may water down the overall PR.
