Image search could double traffic

With images being stored all over the Internet it has become an increasingly popular way of searching. Therefore if your Website has the wrong or does not accurately describe the image or site, then you could be missing out on quite a lot of traffic.

What you would need to look at is:

Image Name – You need an exact title. “image.jpg”

Image alt tag – Same as above but more descriptive. “image on my site.jpg”

Image Context – Needs to be relevant and inline with the image, then search engines will see this as in context.

This simple but effective attention detail can make difference between being on a good search page or not.
