Moore’s law applied to the internet
For those who do not know Moore’s Law relates to how many transistors can be fitted onto an integrated circuit, this is said to double around every eighteen months which accounts for the growth in computing power which we see.
However, this principal can be applied to the internet, and it has been proved that the internet will double in size every 5.32 years. This does not mean the amount of websites that are on the internet, but is related more to the level of autonomous systems.
Of course, this has no real value to how the internet performs or how the internet affects the users of the web. This is solely down to the amount of systems that are being used to keep the whole thing going and nothing to do with who is on the internet at any one time.
