Google in the bad books
For many webmasters the prospect of being on page one or have a brilliant page rank or if they are really lucky both on Google has always been top priority. But in contrast to the years gone by, it would appear that webmasters are not very pleased about the changes in search results.
The fact is that Google don’t like paid directories and what’s more they do not like them populating the top positions of a search result, so in order to make the search more natural, Google are penalising the paid directories and in turn this is hurting those webmasters who have painstakingly added their sites to directories and managed to gain a decent position.
But there cannot be anyone who makes a search on Google and likes to find the first two pages full of paid directory links, so Google are doing the right thing there. But they should really keep webmasters informed of changes like that and then they in turn can make site adjustments.
