Firefox overtakes IE6 and is catching IE7
It may not be much of a record but it is still a mile stone none the less, finally Firefox 3 has overtaken Internet Explorer, but before anyone starts desk thumping it is only IE6 so far but they are catching up at a steady rate.
With IE7 as the next target is will not be long before Firefox catches up that browser too, but this is going to be because of the users switching to IE8 as well as the users switching to Firefox itself. Mozilla are clearly going to be pleased with these figures as well they should be.
Firefox has moved into second place this is according to the data made available from Statcounter, where it shows that Firefox has gone up to twenty four per cent of the market, while IE6 fell to just below at just under twenty three per cent and falling.
