Apple getting ready to launch Snow Leopard
Apple has announced that it will be releasing the latest operating system that has been initially named Snow Leopard in September.
The cost of this upgrade will be just $29 per licence or for households that have more than one machine there is the Family Pack this allows for up to five machines to be upgraded with the new operating system at a discounted cost of just $49.
By launching in September, this means that Apple will beat Microsoft by a clear month before Windows 7 is due to be launched, and it would seem that Apple beats Microsoft on price too as Windows 7 is expected to cost around $100.
The reason why Snow Leopard is set at $29 is that the firm want all users to upgrade.
