Webmasters going green

As if running a website was not hard enough, it seems that there is a growing pressure on webmasters and site owners to go green too.

A while ago it was just getting a site to work properly and look appealing was enough, and then along came SEO and so on. But even more challenging is finding a hosting that is green or at least eco friendly. More people have their eyes on all things green and expect to see something green on virtually every website that they are visiting, even it is a statement saying “We are trying” even if they are not.

There are more and more hosting companies appearing that are eco friendly, but why should a webmaster leave a perfectly decent service? It’s a dilemma and will continue to be for some time.
