You Tube expands its profit sharing

The reward for placing a video on You Tube is going to be more than just becoming famous, from now on video creators will be able to earn money too.

You Tube will be paying a share of the advertising revenue earned, user will be able to decide which of their videos will have the ads running, however this is initially available to people in the States and Canada, but is planned to be rolled out to the worldwide membership in due course.

This is a great opportunity for short film makers to get their films in front of the worldwide marketplace and in turn earn some revenue too.
