Getting other webmasters on your side
This may sound easy, but its not. Everyone found this out in the Link Building era. However there are better ways of making friends with another webmaster, and hopefully you will get a link or even a write up about your site, if you are lucky.
Emailing directly very rarely works, again this comes from the Link Building days, so in order to get your site noticed, either write about or link to the particular site in question. They will know if your readers or visitors are clicking on the link, because they will see where the traffic is coming from and then they will appreciate it, by either including your site as link or even writing about your site.
One main rule applies here; the site must be relevant to your site and content. Also do not forget you own readers and visitors, they are most important.
